Worldviews

Basically the backdrop of anything you'll ever say. A world-view is exactly as it sounds: the way the world is viewed. And you'll never answer a question without hearkening back to one - that is - your own world-view.

There are tons of topics on this D & D board to which answers have varied because of the various world-views; the abortion topic, for example. Regardless of your actual thoughts on the matter, you'll have to answer if life/the precursor thereof is conditionally or inherently untouchable. Connected with that is the question of morals and if they can ever be objective; political ideologies and so on. The different responses are found steeped in some world-view; atheism, [poly/mono]theism, materialism, etc...

Instead of putting my hand on some issue and convoluting the discussion with its interconnectedness with something else, we're going straight to what's probably the heart of any issue. So I want to hear about some of your world-views and why you hold them.
