1.? Strawberry Shake (my 6 year old) goes for a Back to School Haircut.? As I am trying to be a "modern" parent and provide my child with some autonomy and choice, I defer to Strawberry when the hairstylist asks me what we would like done to her hair.?? Strawberry promptly looks at me with an exasperated look, hands thrown out to the side, and says, "you're the Mom, you need to decide".? Sigh.......
2.? My husband is? continuing to recover from his bilateral knee replacement.? We had a follow up with his surgeon on Friday, and he offered great advice, "remember, you have to look at this recovery as a marathon and not a sprint.?? Recovery is measured in weeks, not days or minutes".? Great advice.? Here are a few pics of his X-rays from Friday.
My husband says this is the start of his Terminator Transformation.? Hey, as long as he doesn't take on Arnold's penchant for impregnating the household help (not that we have any), I am ok with that.?
3.? We celebrated my birthday at our local Japanese steakhouse. My parents and my aunt and uncle joined us and we had a great time.? Even my husband ventured out with us.? So proud of him. ? My kids adore the hibachi chefs and they never disappoint.? Neither caught the flying veggies in their mouth this time!? (sorry for the icky phone pics.? I forgot my good camera)
Tomorrow marks Back to School for Strawberry and the second week back for the boy.? Tomorrow morning is going to be hectic for this so not a morning person mama!?
