The sale of the home is your main goal. When you have an open house, a number of prospective home buyers are going to come flooding through the front doors to have a look around. You won't be able to dedicate enough time with each person to explain what's going on. Instead, the renderings can do all of the explaining, blown up to the size that you need to get the job done.

An open house is the biggest event you can ask for when trying to sell a home. If the work isn't done, it's not the end of the world. Just make sure to order an architectural rendering for each area that isn't complete.
