Four Palace Sports & Entertainment executives were dismissed Thursday as part of the company's restructuring under new Pistons owner Tom Gores.
Among those affected are Dan Hauser, executive vice president of corporate sponsorships; Marilyn Hauser, executive vice president of booking and marketing; Larry Thompson, vice president of corporate sponsorships, advertising division; and Mike Garrett, director of information technology and business systems.
The changes come as Jeffrey Ajluni, formerly with Mike Illitch's Olympia Entertainment, was named the Pistons and PS&E's new executive vice president and chief revenue officer.
"The changes made to our executive staff today represent a continuation of the business restructuring taking place at Palace Sports and Entertainment," said Dennis Mannion, President of Palace Sports & Entertainment and The Pistons, in a statement released Thursday.
"We are excited about the new executives we have hired over the last four weeks in Lucinda Treat, Charlie Metzger and Jeffrey Ajluni and feel their expertise in the areas of business development and strategy, revenue and marketing and communications align perfectly with our new vision for the future. At the same time, we thank the employees that have left the company for their years of service, dedication and commitment to this organization."
Treat was hired as executive vice president, business operations and strategy for PS&E in November. The company hired Metzger, executive vice president, chief marketing and communications officer, last month.
Dan Hauser joined the Pistons organization in 1978 and was an executive vice president for more than 20 years. His wife, Marilyn, had been with the Palace since it opened in 1988.
